Conscious leadership is underpinned by several principles that are fast emerging in the world of business. The two most important of these are:

  1. Business can have a higher purpose than pure profit
  2. Business needs to take more responsibility for its impact on the world around it

We can see this in the growth of ethically based business and growth in businesses addressing social challenges with innovative and low-cost products and services. People want positive change in the way that business and other public and professional services operate. In effect, a growing recognition that “profit at all costs” is no longer tenable. This shift towards having a higher purpose and increased responsibility and contribution to the world around them is in part driven by landmark leadership failures at leading brand organisations over recent years. There is an increasing sense that the old traditional ways of leading are no longer tenable or fit for purpose. It is also driven by our collective awareness, that we need to take more responsibility for the state of our planet and its natural resources, including the climate and the impact of by-products on those resources, irrespective of our role or station in life.

Conscious Leaders


Given this context, what exactly are conscious leaders? They are individuals and individuals in leadership teams, who are highly self-aware, open, curious, willing to admit and share mistakes and shortcomings and able to demonstrate authentic humility and empathy both towards themselves and others.

Through our executive coaching and leadership development programmes, we work to unleash and enable conscious leadership within individuals and teams, both in the UK and internationally. This work can be deeply transformational for participants, with individuals experiencing fundamental shifts in how they perceive and regard themselves and other people in their business. Our leadership development programmes involve a blend of team and personal coaching, alongside skills workshops, action learning sets and reflective and mindful practices, all focussed on raising levels of consciousness.


Conscious Leadership Development Programme

This is our core leadership development offering, comprising a number of facilitated learning events blended with 1-1 or small group coaching. These workshops are ideally delivered on a one module per month basis, enabling participants to complete learning assignments and practise enhanced skills and learning.

    • Relationship between conscious leadership and emotional intelligence – overview of EI, core components, how it works in practise. Self-management and self-regulation
    • Mindfulness and reflective practices– Overview of principles and practise both formal and informal
    • Understanding personal brand and impact (purpose, values, behaviours and presence)

Part Two – Leading Others

  • High performing teams – developing and sustaining

Leadership Intensive Retreat

The intensive retreats are aimed at fast paced hi-growth leaders and teams who face challenges committing to comprehensive learning and development programmes.

emintell provides a safe and expertly facilitated forum, which can be delivered virtually,  for Chief officers and top teams to take stock of their leadership and team style and impact with a focus on raising awareness and understanding of individual and team systemic patterns of attitudes, behaviours and communication. Understanding how these impact (positively and negatively) on overall leadership success; on business performance and the overall health of the organisation. Identifying and gaining commitment to detailed improvement plan and metrics for progress evaluation. A key part of these intensive retreats is the ability to both offer and receive direct feedback about personal style and impact

These can be delivered in a variety of flexible delivery methods, including virtual delivery and in physical locations designed to offer a quality thinking environment. The intensive and immersive retreats are best supplemented by focused 1 to 1 coaching session to embed new awareness and learning. The focus of the Leadership intensive retreats can be another aspect of Leadership including, reclarifying and reconnecting with vision and purpose, or for commissioning of new Leadership teams.
