The leadership coaching and development engagement commenced shortly after the client had taken up his initial role as Director of data within the Laterooms.com business.

The key areas for development identified by the client were twin fold:

  • Developing leadership, brand presence and impact across the span of the business
  • Impactful communication for high impact, especially at senior leadership team level

A Hogan Leadership profile was undertaken as part of the development programme, which provided a useful platform and catalyst for commencing the coaching process.

What We Did

The client wanted to inject pace into the development of his style depth and brand of leadership both for performance in his business role, but also for his own value of professionalism and career development.  The initial focus of the first phase of leadership coaching was on accelerating the development of his leadership brand, presence and impact, especially at senior leadership and board level, commensurate with his role and influence in the business.

This work continued over the next two phases of the coaching, which enabled the client to reap the developmental benefits, as he optimised his newfound skills and deepening awareness to maximum effect in the business.

The client also effected extensive work in relation to developing his impactful communication skills, presence and gravitas. The evidence of his improvements were noticed and appreciated, especially by the senior leadership team. His commitment to his own development in these areas as well as his  talent and skill in leading others, together with his innate commercial acumen, led to several promotions and by the start of the third phase of coaching he was asked to join the Executive Board, as Commercial director.
