Leadership Coaching & Hogan Leadership Profiling for Chief Officers & Board Directors

Laterooms was a leading on-line hotel and accommodation reservations business based in Manchester. As its owners, the TUI Group wanted to accelerate the performance of both the senior leadership and senior management teams through leadership coaching, to ensure the agreed business strategy and results were successfully delivered.

What We Did

The founder of emintell, Elaine Akester, was one of three associate coaches commissioned to provide executive leadership coaching support. Elaine worked with some of the company’s most senior executives, including the then Chief Commercial Operating Officer and the Chief Technology Officer.

Every member of the senior leadership and management teams undertook Hogan Leadership profiling assessments. The results of these, together with feedback from each of their line managers, formed the basis of the specific coaching objectives. The initial phase of coaching was six sessions of coaching delivered to each coaching client over a period of six months. Upon review, after this period, the coaching was extended for a further two phases, reflecting the positive feedback and measured improvements in performance. One of her coaching clients was the Director of Data, who, during the coaching engagement, attained board level appointment as the Business Commercial director.

Elaine coached seven leaders within the business over a two-year period, which was extended by the client following positive feedback and improvements in performance.

The longest coaching engagement was with the then Director of Data, who during the coaching attained a board level appointment as Commercial Director.
